On October 13, 2020, Assemblyman Steven H. Cymbrowitz, representing New York’s 45th Assembly District, toured Moonbeam Gateway Marina to see firsthand the significant upgrades made under the leadership of Steven Maksin, CEO of the Moonbeam group of companies.
The visit was prompted by many constituents from southern Brooklyn who are long-time boaters at the marina and encouraged their representative to view the changes for himself. During the tour, Assemblyman Cymbrowitz was shown new golf carts used to conveniently transport guests from the parking lot to the docks, as well as newly installed wave attenuators and modern restroom facilities. He was also briefed on the removal of decades-old debris left behind by prior management, and the addition of WiFi access and upgraded electrical systems throughout the property.
While on site, the Assemblyman spoke directly with several boaters, many of whom have been loyal patrons of the marina for years. Their feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with boaters praising the improvements and welcoming the fresh direction brought by Moonbeam’s management.
Assemblyman Cymbrowitz noted that the changes at Moonbeam Gateway Marina are more than cosmetic – they represent a meaningful investment in the community’s quality of life and provide southern Brooklyn with a state-of-the-art waterfront facility that residents can take pride in.
