How to Get to Moonbeam Gateway Marina
Whether you're driving or taking public transit — we’re easy to reach from NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey. Follow our step-by-step directions and arrive stress-free, ready to enjoy the water.
By Car

From Long Island

Take the Southern or Northern State Parkway west to the Belt Parkway West. Exit at 11S – Flatbush Avenue South and drive ~3 miles past Kings Plaza and Floyd Bennett Field. Marina is on the right at 3260 Flatbush Ave. (~50 miles / ~1 hr 10 min)

From Manhattan

Travel via the Brooklyn Bridge or Manhattan Bridge, then continue through downtown Brooklyn to Flatbush Avenue and head southeast toward Floyd Bennett Field. (Exact distance/time may vary—longer trip estimations generally fall between 30–45 minutes in moderate traffic.)

From New Jersey

Cross into Brooklyn via the Brooklyn–Battery Tunnel (I 478) or via the Verrazzano Bridge/SI Expressway and Belt Parkway, then follow Flatbush Avenue toward 11234. (Expect travel times ranging from 30–60 minutes depending on starting point.)

By Subway

From Long Island

Take the LIRR to Atlantic Terminal, then transfer to a subway—ideally the 2, 5, B, Q, R lines via DeKalb Avenue—followed by a bus or taxi to Flatbush Ave. Central Brooklyn doesn’t have a direct subway to 11234; likely best is to take B or Q to a nearby hub and then bus or taxi to the marina.

From Manhattan

Take the B or Q subway lines toward Brooklyn (via Atlantic Terminal or DeKalb Avenue), then transfer to a local bus heading south along Flatbush Avenue toward 11234.

From New Jersey

Enter Manhattan via PATH or NJ Transit, then follow the Manhattan route above—take the B or Q subway into Brooklyn, then a bus or taxi to Flatbush Ave.

By Bus

From Long Island

No direct MTA bus routes from Long Island into Brooklyn; best to first connect via LIRR into Brooklyn, then use local bus options.

From Manhattan

Similarly, there’s no one-seat bus from Manhattan to Gateway Marina. The most reliable method is subway into Brooklyn followed by a local bus.

From New Jersey

Take NJ Transit or PATH into Manhattan (Penn Station, Port Authority, or World Trade Center). From there, use the subway (A/C → B or Q) into Brooklyn, then transfer to the Q35 bus at Flatbush Avenue Junction. Ride the Q35 southbound to Floyd Bennett Field/Gateway Marina. Estimated time: 1.5–2 hours.
